INGREDIENTS
  • 2 oz Swol Añejo Tequila
  • ½ oz maple syrup (real, dark grade preferred)
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Optional: ¼ oz Islay Scotch or Mezcal rinse for smoke
  • Garnish: Flamed orange peel
HOW TO PREPARE
  • Stir tequila, maple, and bitters over ice.
  • Strain into a rocks glass (optionally rinsed with smoky spirit).
  • Express orange peel over the drink, flame it if you’re fancy.

To safely flame the orange peel, hold a lit match or lighter near the peel’s surface (skin side facing the flame) and give it a quick squeeze. The essential oils will ignite briefly, leaving behind a warm, smoky citrus aroma that perfectly complements the maple and aged tequila.
